The Weißburgunder vom Kalkstein 2021 from Seckinger smells of apricots and pears and it also has slightly nutty notes. Compared to the previous year, the 2021 vintage is accompanied by a slight one creamy and very subtle green notes that give the wine more grip. The acidity is present on the palate, but well balanced with the minimal residual sugar (4g/l). Just great!!!
The 2020 Seckinger Weißburgunder vom Kalkstein comes from various locations in Maikammer and Altdorf in the Palatinate. The vines thrive here on weathered soils made of limestone rubble and loess. It was read by hand on.
Seckinger: Hardly any other winery represents the Nouvelle Vague of Palatinate wine like this. The Seckinger - Weißburgunger vom Kalkstein is a bank and a price-performance supplier year after year.
The Seckinger's also work consistently with the basic wines. Spontaneously fermented and matured on the full yeast in small used barrels, bottled unfiltered and only slightly sulphurized.
Cheers to the new Palatinate!
