Seckinger – R Chardonnay Pure 2021

The R Chardonnay Pure 2021 from the Ruppertsberg sites grown on limestone and red sandstone.
Vinified with minimal intervention and bottled unfiltered.

A smell of exotic fairgrounds wafts from the glass. A Chardonnay that is not typical for the Palatinate. Nice fruit, little to no wood and firm acidity of ripe lime and pineapple, accompanied by minimal creaminess, lime zest, light herbal notes and the typical Seckinger minerality.

Selective manual harvest, short maceration and long yeast storage in 500l wooden barrels, subtle oxidative expansion, natural 100 % spontaneous fermentation. Made for storage. 

Fun fact: Since the 2019 vintage, Seckinger's natural wines have only been called pure after the cellar inspection had forbidden the addition Nature .
