That's how we like Sauvignon Blanc, but it is anything but a classic Sancerre Sauvignion but super exciting!
Akméniné is a natural wine with a lot of energy. He exudes a fascinating calm. It is the softest of the Sebastien series, more expansive, with softer acidity. It develops with air over days and remains exciting at all times.
In honor of his Lithuanian wife, Sebastien Riffault has given his wines names in their national language. "Akméniné" means something like "grown on stones". That describes the 30-year-old vines that are rooted on clay and limestone pebbles quite aptly.
Ripe, fruity notes are bundled in an ever-narrowing strand of aromas of elderberries and currants, currant leaves and ripe apricots.
Refined, unvarnished and complex, finely salty on the palate. Great drinking pleasure!
