Saint Jean Du Barroux - La Source 2019

The 2019 “La Source” is subtle, but exciting and full of character.

Clear fruit sweetness, a polished tannin structure and a fine acidity. This is something for “Primitivo drinkers” and friends of full, classic red wines alike. A juicy and cool wine for every day that doesn't look everyday.

Due to its abundance, one can actually speak of a lot of wine by the glass for little money.
In combination, he is happy to be accompanied by a savory and hearty kitchen.

Philippe Gimel's heart and soul belongs to his wines and you can taste that very clearly in his wonderful cuvées, which are bursting with power, aromas and spice. They are very reminiscent of great Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines. And that is no coincidence, because after his studies he worked at Château de Beaucastel. Even today, Claude Gouan, none other than the winemaker of this world-famous winery, is his foster father.

Handpicked with low yields of 25 hl / ha, destemmed and fermented to 100 % for seven days. Subsequent expansion in concrete, in tanks and a few used barriques.
