Mulatschak is the term for a wild party in neighboring Hungary, at which one or the other glass can break. The otherwise static cow on the Meinklang label is dancing wildly here.

The Meinklang Weißer Mulatschak 2021 is fresh and different. It is clear that this is about uncomplicated drinking fun and not about intellectual drinking pleasure. In addition to elderberry and ripe peach, many spicy notes are involved. Black tea, blackberry bushes. Ripe melon, lychee and roses can still be seen in the background.

In the mouth, the cuvée of Welschriesling, Traminer and Grauburgunder makes its wildness clear. Ease, finesse and playfulness characterize the mouthfeel. Liven up light fruit with astonishingly subtle spice and a pleasantly present acidity. In the finish it is extremely juicy, stimulating and wonderfully dry. Uncomplicated drinking pleasure is the order of the day.

Winemakers

Meinklang is what used to be found everywhere in the country: a versatile farm run by an extended family. The Angus cattle herd is also part of the team. It ensures the closed production cycle at the Demeter farm and supplies valuable, natural fertilizer - unique in the Austrian wine landscape! Special features in the winery are the Graupert: a Pinot Gris from uncut vines that can grow in complete freedom and find their own balance. The "Konkret St. Laurent" matures in specially made, oversized 900lt concrete eggs and has the opportunity to take in air through the fine pores of the natural concrete. Further specialties are the single-origin juices made from Topaz apples, Grüner Veltliner and Zweigelt grapes, as well as barrel-ripened vinegars.
