Muscat the way we like it: not perfumed, but herbal and floral-spicy. The freshness of the Loimer - Muscatel with caution leaps towards you in the scent: aroma hops (as in good IPAs with their typical grapfruit, mango and passion fruit mix), elderflower, Almdudler and Sprite, light, peppery-yeasty flavor. In the mouth it becomes pleasantly tart, super firm and dry and then again that grapefruit freshness. Schmacko!

Fred Loimer should actually be a geologist by profession. The terroir that it occupies in the Kamptal and the thermal region is so diverse that it is easy to lose track.
